After the Uri attack, which killed 18 of our army jawan’s, the debate on whether the ban on Pakistani artists is legit or not hasn’t found a proper conclusion, with many coming in support of the ban and a few condemning it and instead getting slammed on the social media.
The Maharashtra Navnirman Sena (MSN) threatened all the Pakistani artists working in India to leave the country. A new story has risen since then, after Flimmaker Anurag Kashyap in a row of tweets asked the honorable Chief Minister Narendra Modi to apologize for his visit to Pakistan an year ago to meet Nawaz Sharif. But he was savagely trolled on the social networking site!
The rant began after the Cinema Owners Exhibitors Association of India (COEAI) implied a ban on Karan Johar’s upcoming Bollywood venture, “Ae Dil Hai Mushkil” in four states of the country. Maharashtra, Gujarat, Karnataka and Goa where the screening of the movie is stalled.
Many celebrities came in support of Karan Johar, after this brutal decision by the COEAI, as karan his expected to bear a huge financial loss if the decision is not changed.
Anurag came out in support of karan and tweeted, “The world must learn from us.. We solve all our problems by blaming it on movies and banning it.. #ADHM . With you on this @karanjohar,”
Taking it to a personal level and a step closer, Anurag targeted Prime Minister Narendra Modi for the ban and asked him to apologize for his meeting with Pakistan PM Nawaz Sharif on 25th December 2015 when Karan Johar was shooting ADHM.
In response, Twitterati left no opportunity to criticize him to the fullest. Have a look!
