Twitter on Sunday went crazy after pictures of new denomination of currency notes, which will soon be released by Reserve Bank of India, went viral. Allegedly, currency notes of “Rs.2000” have been dispatched from the currency printing notes from Mysuru, Karnataka.
Although, there was no official confirmation for this viral report by government or the RBI, the pictures of these supposed “Rs.2000” drove twitterati enthusiastically active, making this report trend all over the world!
However, leaders and corporate officials have always asked for eradication of currency notes worth both Rs. 1000 and 500 to counter hoarding of black money. If in future these notes come into circulation, the problem to prevent hoarding of black money will be challengable.
So far, the highest denomination of note printed by RBI has been the Rs 10,000 note, way back in 1938 and then in 1954. This will be the first time that a currency note of Rs.2000 will be released, however validation of these notes is still holding back its authenticity.
