Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his first speech at ‘Red Fort’ on 15th August said he wants the whole of India to be electrified. Electricity should reach the remote place. There were 18,000 such villages where people didn’t even see the electricity. PM Modi set a brutal target for the power minister Piyush Goyal and asked him to electrify each and every village of India in just 1,000 days.
So, Piyush Goyal, the Power Minister had a great task in his hands of electrifying 18,000 villages in just 1,000 days. Till date, almost 13,000 villages have been electrified and the target will be met even before 1000 days.
On 6th of November, a follower on Twitter, Dhananjay Pratap Singh, from Uttar Pradesh who works in Navi Mumbai wrote a tweet to Piyush Goyal. He wanted Piyush Goyal to do something about his village as well. He belongs to a village Nagala Atia in Etah District of UP.
Then on 4th February the same man again wrote a tweet thanking Piyush Goyal on the electrification of his village. He said, “His village has seen electricity first time since independence.”
That proves ‘Mera Desh Badal Raha Hai, Aage Badh Raha Hai’. The thing which never happened in 70 years has happened in just 3 months for Dhananjay Pratap Singh. We have so many such Dhananjay’s who are happy about the revolution that is coming under Modi government.
Piyush Goyal felt really happy by fulfilling the promise he made to the Prime Minister, and to the Public in common. Not just that Piyush Goyal tweeted that India has a surplus electricity now and if any state wants to purchase it from the center then the government can do that.
