HRD Minister Smriti Irani chaired a meeting on Thursday, which was attended by 46 Vice-chancellors of the central universities where it was resolved to “proudly and prominently” hoist the Indian tricolour compulsorily in the universities.
While one cannot find any fault with such a nationalist decision, the Opposition still tried to attack the BJP for this decision. However majority of the Indians were in support of Smriti’s decision including actor Akshay Kumar, who came out in support of this decision on Twitter.
