With the recent admissions by David Headley, the Ishrat Jahan case has once again grabbed the limelight. Officers who were closely involved with the case are now coming up and making some shocking revelations hinting at the political interference in the case. First it was former Home Secretary G K Pillai who revealed that there was foul play in the handling of the case. Now the former Under Secretary, Internal Security in the Ministry of Home Affairs, RVS Mani has come out and spoken up about the political pressure to file the second affidavit in the case, which denied these people to be terrorists. He also narrates how he was chased by the people from the SIT and how he was tortured by the head of the SIT, Satish Verma.
