BSF Jawan Tej Bahadur Yadav of 29th Battalion recently made a disclosure of something which was very sad to hear about and the outburst has caused a storm on social media by the series of video and the bitter truth he dared to reveal about the shady dealings by the senior officers.
It is not that people living in India were not aware of such hasty business happening in and around the army camp, but the thing which made Yadav trending on social media was his courage to bring the reality of the despicable status of the food served to the BSF Jawans at the camps.
He gained a lot of support from Netizens in and around the country and finally when the Civilians living near paramilitary forces camps, particularly those of the Border Security Force (BSF), were enquired about the situation they say “officers sell fuel and food provisions meant for the personnel to outsiders at half the market rate”. An independent inquiry can reveal if the charges are right. Only a probe can reveal if there is so much corruption in the security forces that rations are sold off and soldiers are made to starve. Eventually, it is disgusting to hear such act of cheapness associated with people guarding our borders day to dawn.
“They sell food items like dal and vegetables to civilians outside the camp at cheaper rates and leave us bereft of the facilities. They even deny us our daily-use items and sell the same to their agents outside the camps,” a BSF jawan said on the condition of anonymity.
A civil contractor added, “We get petrol from BSF officers in charge of provisions at Humhama camp at half the market rate… Other items, like rice and spices, are also available much cheaper.”
